A drift is not a snowfall gauge
Wind and the shape of a building can redistribute snow. Its height at a doorway therefore does not establish how much fell evenly across the neighbourhood. The old springtime introduction belongs to the clip’s original date.
The sequence makes an excellent illustration of snow’s local variability: an exposed corner, sheltered doorway and open yard may look quite different after the same storm.
