The sleeping platform sits above the ground, and the view continues beneath it. Tentsile’s tree-tent idea changes the usual relationship between a camper and a campsite, giving a familiar shelter an unfamiliar position.
The site becomes part of the equipment system
A suspended tent needs appropriate anchor points as well as suitable surroundings. The attractive open space in a photograph does not establish that any three trees will work, or that hanging the shelter high is necessary.
Consult Tentsile’s current model information and instructions for the actual product. Capacity, setup and included components vary. Keeping a sleeping surface off wet ground also does not make the shelter automatically protected from every animal, insect or weather condition.
Compare what you want from the night
The archive imagery is useful for understanding the concept, not for replacing a setup manual. Compare Amok’s adjustable hammock for another suspended sleeping approach, or the Luca Vuerich bivouac for a fixed mountain shelter with a very different purpose.
