One range, two familiar names
The mountains straddle Poland and Czechia; Karkonosze is the Polish name and Krkonoše the Czech name. That helps when comparing maps and visitor information from opposite sides of the border.
The exposed scenes also explain why a winter photograph is not evidence of an easy walk. Snow, wind and ice can change the demands of a route that feels straightforward in another season. Old claims that no special preparation is needed should not guide a mountain outing.
Make the preparation as specific as the route

Śnieżka provides a recognisable landmark
The rounded buildings on Śnieżka give the snowy summit an unusual silhouette. Their human scale makes the surrounding open ground easier to read, while the winter light emphasises ridges and wind-shaped surfaces. The earlier route description treated Jelenia Góra as though it were the immediate start of every summit walk. A regional town and a particular trailhead are different planning details. Likewise, a claim that no specialist preparation is needed should not be carried from summer into winter. Identify the actual approach and current conditions before deciding what the outing involves.
