The season follows the ice
Bears near Hudson Bay spend time ashore while awaiting access to sea ice and seal-hunting habitat. That ecological setting is more useful context than the older article’s suggestion that the animals need ice bridges to migrate north.
Check the actual trip before comparing it
Room layouts, facilities, prices and itineraries quoted in the original feature are historical. Ask the operator for the current arrangements and distinguish time at the lodge from any separate guided excursions. A lodge photograph is also not a promise that a bear will appear at a particular window during every stay.
