The MTT-136 demonstration presents a compact electric tracked machine as a winter work platform. Its low shape and track-based movement distinguish it from a conventional wheeled vehicle.

The original MTT-136 battery claims
The contemporary feature quoted charging times from 15 minutes to eight hours and travel distances from 28 to 130 miles, depending on the battery. Those were promotional figures for different configurations, not a single tested specification. In particular, the shortest charging time should not be paired with the longest range as though both describe the same machine under the same conditions.
What would the machine need to carry?
Payload, terrain, temperature and energy use are relevant to evaluating a working vehicle. A promotional sequence can show the intended use, but cannot answer every operating question. The archive remains an interesting design demonstration without a promise that one compact machine can handle every winter job.

A compact platform built around a track
The design puts the continuous track at the centre of the machine instead of adding a tracked undercarriage to a familiar road vehicle. That is what makes its low silhouette interesting. There is relatively little bodywork to distract from the moving platform, so the demonstration is easy to read as an exploration of a working tool: how much machine is needed to move a person or a load over snow? The compact form is the distinguishing idea, rather than the promise of limitless winter uses.
Reading range and charging figures together
A useful specification would name the battery capacity, charging equipment, carried load and conditions behind each quoted result. An unloaded journey on one surface is a different test from towing through deeper snow. Keeping those questions beside the old figures makes the archive more informative: it shows both what the developers were aiming for and what a short demonstration leaves unanswered. The MTT-136 Technologie upload is the credited source for the machine shown here.
