François Bon and Antoine Montant’s Eiger sequence combines skiing with a small overhead wing. That makes it a speed-riding or ski-gliding descent, rather than ordinary snowkiting across flatter ground.

The athletes transition between contact with snow and flight. The film’s mountain setting makes that combination visually dramatic, but it also places it far outside recreational skiing instruction.
Keep the historical claim attributed
The original account described the descent as a first and dated it to June 14 without supplying a year. This version avoids manufacturing a more precise record. The important correction is the activity itself, with the named athletes credited and the footage treated as a specialist historical performance.

Snow contact and flight are part of one descent
The small wing above Bon and Montant allows the sequence to alternate between skis on snow and airborne movement. That combination is the defining feature of the performance shown here. A conventional snowkite outing uses a different relationship between the kite, traction and terrain, so the old activity label obscured what the athletes were doing.
The Eiger gives the performance a specific setting
Naming the Swiss Alpine mountain and both athletes retains the useful historical detail. The June 14 date in the earlier introduction is incomplete without a year, so it remains an attributed detail rather than a newly established record date.
