Hiking is the most popular activity: completing 80 km (50 mi) long Karhunkierros route is challenging, but rewarding experience. There are also other routes that can be completed with skis, snowshoes or snowmobiles in winter. In summer visitors go canoeing, cycling, pick berries and mushrooms.

Why to go there?: A natural unspoiled oasis, providing fun activities and views. Its biodiversity makes it one of the most unique parks in Europe.
When to go there?: All year round. Go boating and hiking in spring and summer. Go there to ski and see Aurora Borealis in winter.
How to get there?: Get there by bus from Kuusamo or Salla. Get to Kuusamo by plane. The park is only 60 km (37 mi) away.
